AccuWeather is seeking developers interested in mobile application development, primarily iPhone, iPad, Android and other similar devices. You will work in a fun and collaborative environment where you will gain experience building applications from the ground up. Your passion for development will lead to your apps potentially being used by millions of users worldwide as you acquire strong, desirable skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES: * Building applications from concept to completion in a collaborative environment * Research and develop solutions for future products and releases. * Assist senior programmers with the maintenance, support, and development. * Work with team to troubleshoot and identify software technical issues. * Enhance existing code base. * Update software to meet evolving and changing market and technical advances. * Provide input on user interface design and features.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and 1-5 years of experience or equivalent combination of experience and education * Proficiency in compiled languages (Java, C++, Obj-C, etc.) * Proficiency in scripting languages (JavaScript, PHP, ASP, etc.) * Proficiency in web technologies (HTML and CSS) * Proficiency in data parsing (XML and/or JSON) * Experience with IDEs (Eclipse, Netbeans, Xcode, etc.) * Clear understanding of asynchronous functionality and when it should be used (AJAX/Multi-threading) * Competency writing clear, efficient code * General understanding of overall interactions between client-side and server-side functionality

* Some competency with graphic design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, etc.) * Interest in/experience with application UI design
