Title : Software Engineer – Mobile
Location : Bay Area, CA
Duration : 12 months +
Rate : $DOE

Basic Qualifications
BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering
Specific Knowledge/Skills
• 5+ years experience in mobile application development
• need to know difficulties of mobile phone application development
• 3+ years experience in Java application development
• 3+ years experience in C/C++ libraries development
• 3+ years experience on Linux platform.
• Demonstrable use of object oriented development, application frameworks, memory management, file I/O, network & socket programming, concurrency and multi-threading.
• Designing and documenting feature implementation plans
• Strong problem analysis skills
• Knowledge on the US mobile phone features

Highly Desirable
Google Android programming experience
Device porting knowledge on Linux Platform


• Investigate if Google's Android platform is suitable for mobile phones
• Understand how it works by using the latest SDK
• Investigate Android's pros and cons
• Investigate if critical features for mobile phones are missing or not
• Check the necessity of system architecture extension
• Investigate how handset venders differentiate their mobile phones from others
• Check the necessity of application framework extension
• Prototype Android applications or system related features to verify the items above
• Create/Maintain Know-how documents on Google's Android platform
