Senior Software Engineer / Java
Job summary
We are a well-funded startup, introducing a novel user experience and platform for mobile devices. Mobile communications and mobile devices are about to evolve in exciting ways and we are on the leading edge of this wave to provide customers with a new and innovative mobile experience.
As a Senior Engineer you will be part of a team responsible for creating a new mobile platform and applications. This involves creating a mobile OS distribution based on OSS components including Linux along with custom applications and UI of our design.
You should know Java and be an Open Source enthusiast
Experience creating GUI based apps is a plus.
Flexibility, a self-starting attitude, and team-oriented mentality are essential!
Qualifications
• 3+ years Java experience
• 3+ years experience developing on and for Linux
• Experience with common web technologies and architecture (http, Ajax, REST, Soap, etc.) required
• Experience with GUI frameworks a plus
• Web development experience desired
• Strong component-based, object-oriented design and programming skills
• Strong and proven analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• BSCS, BSEE, or BS in related field
