The company debuted in October 2007 with an offering that works for Windows Mobile phones. Our S60 version will ship in the fall, and we’re looking for engineers who are excited about mobile connected services and want to participate with our team in building a differentiated experience customers love. Looking for full time and contract engineers within the Seattle area or on the West Coast
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience in software development on Symbian 3rd edition in C++
- 5+ years experience developing in C++
- BS or MS in computer science and/or 5 years of commercial software development experience.
- Sound understanding of TCP/IP-based network protocols, including HTTP.
- Thorough understanding of issues related to performance, software quality, and platform requirements (e.g. memory) in embedded platforms such as mobile handsets.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience implementing consumer facing user interfaces on mobile handsets.
- Hands on experience with BREW, Windows Mobile, Palm, embedded Linux platforms, Blackberry, Android, or iPhone.
- Experience with Symbian Signed, JVP, TrueBREW, UTI, or other mobile application certification programs.
- Strong knowledge of and experience using object-oriented design techniques.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and Test-Driven Development.
- Experience with data synchronization systems (e.g. SyncML).
- Has materially participated in developing commercial software that went to market.
Bonus Points for:
- Experience developing SDK software for use by third-party developers.
- Awareness and experience with modern “Web 2.0” trends and sites.
