Software Development Engineer

We’re looking for a top notch developer to join msnbc.com’s Devices development team. As a developer at msnbc.com, you’ll help design and develop mobile device applications and services that give millions of audience members access to our rich news content.
Qualifications
•Rock solid development skills – your coworkers and managers describe you as their go-to developer. You’re fluent in C, C++, and Objective C and have a solid track record in mobile device development for at least one platform, as well as a working knowledge across several the major mobile platforms: iOS, Android, Windows Phone 7, BlackBerry. You’ve successfully built rich and elegant interactive applications on mobile devices, preferably apps that access back-end web services.
•Excellent communication skills – both written and spoken. Good ideas aren’t very useful if they get stuck inside your head.
•Team player – we develop projects with small teams. If your contributions make your team better, you are going to thrive here.
Proven ability to ship excellent software – code is one thing, shipping is another. You’ve done both, and have a holistic view of delivering an excellent application user experience.
•Passion for continuous improvement – we’re constantly experimenting with better ways to develop great products and learn new stuff while we’re at it.
