Mobile Application Developer

ServiceMagic is looking for a Mobile Application Developer to leverage our existing web-based business into the mobile space. We are looking for someone who can work in a small, flat, rapid-iteration shop, who has expended beyond programming tasks to influence ideation, product development, build and deployment of applications rapidly and iteratively.

ServiceMagic, Inc., headquartered in Golden, Colo., is the leading online marketplace connecting homeowners with prescreened and customer-rated home service professionals. The company is revolutionizing how people buy and sell home services by creating a better connection between consumers and prescreened, customer-rated businesses matched to their needs and interested in their requests.

Required Experience:

*Well versed in mobile communications systems with experience prototyping and developing applications *Experience participating heavily in the creative process of mobile application design *1-5 years of experience developing applications for mobile communications devices, operating systems, applications, enterprise implementation, security, mobile networks, including hands-on experience with either iPhone or Android development including experience with the platform’s App Store *Technical proficiency with Java, Objective-C, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, web services and other web-based development tools and programs.
iPhone SDK or Android SDK; other mobile platforms (Blackberry, iPad) a plus *5+ years experience developing commercial software *Experience working in an agile, test-driven development environment *Experience working directly with product management teams at the earliest stages to participate in the development of ideas and concepts – you must be able to generate ideas, not simply execute them. *B.S. in computer science preferred
