WHERE hiring J2ME/Blackberry Developer
at Ulocate Communications in Boston, MA
uLocate Communications Inc, North America's leading publisher of location based services, is seeking a full-time, on-site J2ME/Blackberry Developer with an equal flair for creative problem solving, foosball and delivering successful consumer applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
Your core mission will be to extend and improve the existing version of WHERE on both Blackberry devices, such as Bold and Storm. Other responsibilities include enhancing the functionality offered in WHERE on Blackberry and implementing the next killer feature. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced startup environment and be completely thrilled by the opportunity to work on a world-class mobile consumer application.
Core Skills:
• Strong J2ME programming background including delivery of commercial grade applications on Blackberry devices.
• Extensive user interface development experience, particularly on mobile devices.
• A track record of delivering consumer applications.
• Expertise in optimizing network-intensive applications.
• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with other mobile ‘smart phones’ is a plus.
• Familiarity with geospatial applications and tiled maps on any platform a plus.
Please note: Being able to demonstrate a working mobile consumer application that is indicative of your best work is a pre-requisite for an interview.
This is a full-time contract position based in Boston. Eventual transition from contract to hire is an option.
