Web Developer
Job Type: Part-time – full time /Web Developers may be considered for full-time employment.
Rhemicom is seeking a web developer/designer/creator with 5+ years of experience creating, developing, managing and analyzing client websites.
Developer will be responsible for creating on-site graphic elements, visual designs, and solutions for day-to-day production of site features, image/content updates as well as product marketing launches. Candidate will be responsible for promotions design, development and production of onsite web promotions and external collateral, including but not limited to, new and existing product launches, banners, 3rd party promotions, emails, and overall visual site enhancements and on-site LCD displays. The candidate should also have an understanding of e-Commerce and consumer goods verticals.
Candidate will communicate design goals to creative participants and key stakeholders, ensuring integration of design requirements into all phases of production. 4+ years experience in hands-on Visual/Web Design and Flash development BA in Graphic Design or related field (experience in lieu of degree is acceptable). A strong understanding of current web design best practices, styles and methodology Proper use of typography; including font styling, kerning and leading Ability to work from wireframes to create layout in Photoshop, from existing style guides to match our brands, expert knowledge of Photoshop CS3 or CS4 Expertise on PHP/ Classic ASP / ASP.NET. Intermediate to expert knowledge of HTML/CSS Strongly Desired: Familiarity with future web technologies, including HTML Understanding of JavaScript Intermediate to expert knowledge of Flash CS3 or CS4, including Actionscript 2 or Ability to create interactive, dynamic Flash applications.
Additional: Expert with VBscript, Javascript, Web2.0 experience and the ability to write technical specifications. Knowledge or experience with SharePoint 2003 and SharePoint 2007 is definitely a plus. Database experience with Access and SQL Server 2005, 2008?- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator?- Strong scripting and database skills?- Keen eye for clean UI implementation ?- Knowledge of website design best practices?- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment?- Bachelors Degree and a strong understanding of current web design best practices, styles and methodology Proper use of typography; including font styling, kerning and leading.
As a web developer with Rhemicom you will interface with clients and internal users on a day to day basis to gather requirements and help implement web content solutions,?design, develop, configure, support and administer web content, assist in sharepoint development, maintenance and administration, and implement clear, effective web pages to integrate with needed marketing elements. Creating and optimizing web pages for download efficiency and clean design. Respond to a variety of web-related requests. Synthesize feedback from multiple sources and fulfill multiple project requests while meeting deadlines.
