Summary
Kyte is looking for an "ace" server-side architect with an enthusiasm for working with new technologies and building massively scalable system infrastrucutres. You will be leading our back-end devlopment team and driving forward a challenging agenda of both new functionality and support for rapidly growing traffic. This position is full-time and you will be working out of our office overlooking Union Square in San Francisco, close to MUNI and BART.
Experience
• Success leading teams in high pressure environments
• Grid computing and clustered cache solutions
• High performance socket and HTTP tunnel data transport
• Staged Event Driven Architecture
• AJAX and other "rich web" techniques
• Spring 2.x
• Hibernate 3.x
• Mobile web/WAP development
• Complex Ant build systems
• Performance testing tools
Requirements
• 10+ years experience writing high-performance, web-related software with Java/C++
• Expert with client/server networked applications
• Expert with object-oriented framework and design
• In-depth knowledge of Unix, Windows, web servers, and application servers
• Experience building massively scalable internet applications
• Strong leadership skills
• Ability to accurately estimate and appropriately delegate tasks
• Ability to write clean, coherent code
• Ability to understand and master new technologies quickly
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Desire to learn and to teach
